Who we are

Eatsaf is an independent site that organizes public restaurant hygiene inspection scores for Hyderabad. This policy covers personal data about you as a visitor or account holder — not municipal inspection records about restaurants (see our Disclaimer).

What we collect

• Account email and a Firebase user id when you sign in with Google or an email magic link.
• Session cookie so you stay signed in across visits (about 14 days, or until you log out).
• Basic usage analytics on production via Cloudflare Web Analytics (page views; not used to build advertising profiles).
• Standard technical request data that our host (Cloudflare) may process to serve and secure the site.

We do not ask for payment details, and we do not require an account to browse scores and places.

Why we use it

We use this information to:

• Authenticate you and keep your session working
• Unlock inspection photos and detailed findings for signed-in users
• Send a one-time welcome email after you join
• Send account-related messages such as a weekly list of newly inspected places when you sign up for that

Who processes it

• Firebase / Google — authentication (Google sign-in and email magic links)
• Cloudflare — hosting, database (account id and email), analytics, and delivery of the site
• Brevo — transactional email (for example the welcome message)

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep your account row (user id and email) while your account exists. The session cookie lasts until it expires or you log out. We store a marker after the welcome email is sent so we do not send it twice.

Your choices

• Browse places and categories without creating an account.
• Log out anytime to end your session on this device.
• To request deletion of your account email from our database, reply to any email from Eatsaf (for example the welcome message) with the subject “Delete my account,” and include the email address on the account.

Restaurant inspection data

Hygiene scores and inspection details are public municipal data, not personal data about you. Ownership and limitations are explained on the Disclaimer page.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
